True, 12x1.25 thread pitch will fit. But I have a question:

I bought the **** I wanted but it just threads down the stick. The OEM is kinda like an upside-down pear with a sleeve (grey) attached to the bottom end so that it fits flush to the boot. With just a new ****, there is a 3" gap from the bottom of the **** to the top of the boot (there's a plastic insert at the top of the boot that grasps the stick). So, what can one use to "sleeve" down from the aftermarket **** to the top of the boot? It looks kinda stupid without something.

Just wonderin',

Slide the boot up towards the shift ****. I did that to mine. Looks akwards at first but you get used to it

I thought about that, but isn't the diameter of the plastic "stay" at the top of the OEM boot the wrong diameter to just "slide up" the stick? I think there's a notch in the stick where that stay seats.

It is a different diameter but the plastic piece will hold snug. I ran mine like that for a few months with no issues.

Heres how i had it

Done deal. Worked perfectly. Stuck a screwdriver in the expansion slot on the stay, slid it up the stick, put the OEM sleeve on top of the stay, screwed down the new **** and VIOLA! It's tight enough for me.

Thanks for the tip.

I wanted a round shift **** instead of my RS 7.0 Lever handle. I had some black leather to cover the white plastic, I like it, Torque Solution shift ****, weighs almost nothing. Looks plain and sporty.
