Default Amp/Alpine Type R Questions

i have an ma audio m700 xe 2 channel amp. it puts out 250 rms per channel at 4 ohms and 500 rms per channel at 2 ohms. i'm looking to get some new subs but i don't want to get a new amp.

with this amp, would i be able to power 2 type r 2 ohm subs? or would i only be able to power 1 4ohm sub? i want to make sure each sub is getting 500 or so rms. and i'd much rather have only 1 sub getting the power it needs than 2 subs that aren't getting enough. let me know and thanks.

if they are single 2 ohm.. or dual 4 ohm.. yes.. then you could wire the dual 4 ohm subs to 2 ohms and wire one sub per channel if the amp puts out 500watts x 2 @ 2 ohms RMS
