what do you mean by merge the remote wires? you'll need one remote wire from the deck to each amp

got the dual amp stetup running great. i had the fan set up to the power wires. but i realized that if its hooked up to the amp power. its on even if the car is not. if i hook it up to the remote wire it sputters (not enough power i guess.) so idk what to do

Add a relay to it. This will let the remote wire turn the relay on and then main power will run the fan.

and it continues! last night i heard a odd s ound. as i oppend my door. turn my car on and i hear an high pitched whine coming through my speakers. likei heard the engine through the speakers. Take it out today. power is fine. now its my remote wire. it wont power the second amp. i have it running the to the first. then from that amp i have another wire runnign to the sub amp. Now when i turn on the car. the first amp turns on. if i connect the other one. it turns off the whole thing. power light goes off. if i hook the sub up to a direct 12v source ( my 4 chan disturbuion block. It tuns on no problem. use the remote wire and it just stops. Im really frusturated now.

Sounds like one of the speaker wires is pinched and touch metal. I would start with where the wire goes in through the door if it happened when you opened the door. As for the remote wire it sounds like it just doesn't have enough amperage to run both amps. Take your remote wire and before it goes to anything add a relay to it so that the wire is just powering the relay and let the relay power the amp turn on leads.

30 - constant power
85 - ground
86 - turn on trigger from the deck
87 - trigger out to the amps

so what we found out is. is the RCA terminals on that second amp were bad. the amp would turn off whenever rca cables touched its rings. so the amp is ____. already returning it. on another note. i ohooked up that fan to an old switch i had from an early LED mod. so now i can turn it on at will
