App Radio 2
I know a little about them just because I work at Best Buy. The idea is really cool but only if you don't mind only streaming music or listening to mp3s. The interface is sleek, attractive and easy to use. Also, with buying this you're pretty much committing to the iPhone. The GPS functionality works well and with iOS 6 coming out this fall I can only imagine that will get better. There's my two cents.
I work at bby too and I have yet to install one of these but if you do get one verify that it has the updated firmware. It doesn't have any negative effect unless you are using a back up camera but just something to keep in mind. This unit is also available to be used with android using a seperate cable kit (Which I believe is $100) and we occasionally offer promotions where it packages into the price of the unit. Overall the appradio2 is a major upgrade from the app radio 1. Functionality is better on the iOS than droid but it does support both. Just verify on pioneers website that it is compatible with your phone.
I heard Sony has a unit that does similar features but it has a dvd/cd player on it as well.

That being said I prefer the Kenwood units. Particularly the new line this year. Support on ipod and iphones is unmatched and they run garmin gps and include free lifetime traffic. If you get it make sure you order the ip202 cable so you can use your ipod/phone with it. I have not installed many of the current line of pioneers so far, just a few of the avic x series. Keep in mind the avh line does not have navigation.

I have the new kenwood 719... I absolutely love it. It replaced a Sony 6.5, I don't remember the nomenclature but it was a brand new 2012 model and I hated it from the moment I touched it. Kenwood on the other hand does everything you could ever want a stereo to do and then some. If you can watch it on your iPhone you can watch it on the kenwood, navigation, pandora, Satillite, DVD, if I didn't mention it it does that too. I'll be installing that radio in my other cars as I get to them.
