Yeah, I was sort of wondering about this, too. I just bought an 08, and I want a little more bass. Nothing earbusting, just a little more. Also drawn to the fact that a 100W amp is included. Also, I don't have to remove the spare tire or anything.

Has anyone heard it?

sorry i have not heard it yet but was thinking of getting one too. I have used SAS Bazooka in the past but it was 10" so just not sure. At least it wires up without making a single splice.

The JL audio stealthbox is a possibility, too:

Quite a bit more expensive ($649), and I'd have to buy an amp big enough to power the thing, but I bet it sounds sooooooooo sweet.

That JL one is a rip off. I rather get a custom box made then the JL one.

I might get the bazooka enclosure when my tax refund arrives.

I currently got a bazooka tube sitting in the center of my floor and this looks much better then my bungie cords It looks like from the pics this might fit with the OEM accessory cargo cover in place, anyone seen one in person or in pics that can confirm this?

why not just do a nice 8" or 10" sub under one of the seats with a mild amp? If you are concerned with budget there are tons of solid used amps floating around and your end result will be better

For me, I didn't want to do one under the seat because it cuts off some leg room for the back seat passenger (and might get kicked from behind).

I wish I could hear my options before choosing. I like the custom idea, but I don't know any places around here (Albany, NY) that would do that sort of thing (I'd want a fiberglass enclosure and a seamless fit).

I'm still looking at my options. If anyone gets the Bazooka one, let me know how it sounds.

x2. I'm thinking I may just go to a shop to see what custom setups they might be able to do, something similar to this Bazooka setup.

I like it, I'm buying one soon, I will give you guys some feedack,. Can't beat the price $249.00 vrs JL audio $600.00, I was going to spend $800.00 for a single 8" sub enclosure under each front seat. Glad I waited... I think it will be good enough for me.

Default Navigation Unit

This looks like a great unit for the price. I don't know if I would drop $600 plus on the JBL unit though. Does anyone know if this directly connects to the factory navigation unit? Also, does the factory navigation unit have pre outs? I want to get some more base in my box but really don't know what route to go. This bazooka set up would be nice. Thanks for the advice.

SNS (factory alpine nav) does not have pre-outs... but the bazooka VSE (vehicle specific enclosure) will hook up to any scion head unit...

I just removed a Boozka EL from my newly purchased 2006 XB. I'm in my 50's and did not need the extra base. It is in very good condition and I have the mounting hardware to mount it in the rear. I also have the conecting cable.
If any one is interested, I would part with it for $125, or open for trades. What do you have?

I bought one a couple of weeks ago. A friend came over and did the install today. Looks good installed. From my first impression, bass sounds OK, not as good as a JL sub in a custom enclosure. Don't expect to much from it. It may work for me. Need to tune it and I will get back to you guys on my opinion.

Default Just ordered

Hey everyone,

I just ordered from shipsound.com because they had this unit listed at $249.99. I read the reviews and lots were good and some were bad. Hopefully everything works out and I will give you a heads up on how it all goes. Looking forward to getting some extra bass and that clean look. I was thinking of going custom but this plugs right into stock navi unit and I was looking for something more hassle free.

Happy hunting
