Default Blue, White, or Green MODE light assembly.. will trade!

I tried to swap my MODE light out & messsed it up. I bought a new assembly & had my son's friends swap the LED for me this time. He did great!! &&&& fixed my original as well to blue. Now it works fine as the new one does too!! I put the original in my van & now have a brand new one w/ blue LED to get rid of.. So if you want it.. PM me..... I'll even swap you for yours & a few bucks... PM me if interested.....

thanks for looking...

Hey Jimmbomb,

Good job getting that board fixed. I might actually need yours. I did my swaps but hadn't installed the s/w control board yet. I will try mine today and advise asap.
Thanks,
cc

Hey Jimmbomb,

I just tested the S/W blue LED and it works perfectly. Thanks for throwing out that offer though. Now, the last thing I have to do is the LED's in the stereo.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Hey Jimmbomb,

Actually, no. I believe it was a 1206 SMT LED (it was the exact same style as the original LED. I got it with my conversion kit from Sean at LEDMOD.

BTW, I'll get my camera back from the shop on Monday. I can then take some pics of my HVAC color swap. It was quite the task... I even lost one piece to the temp **** and had to drop $34.00 for a new ****, just to replace the cog that I lost. It wasn't that hard, but it was a pain in the a$$!

AND for getoffmeson, you can get the green LED that you need from Oznium or Sean at LEDMOD.com

Have a Merry Christmas guys!

Charlie

By the way Jimmbomb (quick threadjack)

I have some of my silver painted parts being coated at Patterntek. The parts will be back just after new years. I will send pics of those with the new lighting then.

I dont know of any DIY write ups on this particular LED swap yet. I like your custom gauge face too. Looks like you DID NOT put the stock face under your new one?? Doesnt that get too bright for you at night?? a distraction?? I like the blue in the LCD screens & the white on the needle gauges.. I just fear that would be too bright at night. You may want to try it with the stocker on under that just to see what it looks like....... good luck on your mode button......

Look to here for a semi DIY on taking out the assembly.. pay attention to the posts by lvbitwz & dasaint80..

So what i am suggesting is that you pull YOURS out, mail it to me, along with 15 bucks & I'll mail you THIS one back..
Look a few post up for a DIY on how to, plus you can call me & I can walk ya thru it... Thanks for askin..

ps if f you want it outright, it's a 'make offer' type thing.. If we 'swap' then I can set up other people who want in in their color of choice..

Nope.. I used a PLCC-2 in there.. what came out of there was a smt 1206 type (I think that's how you call it.. it's smaller than a PLCC)...The same as in the Stereos.... & the H/VAC take a single bulb type ine in each..(no soldering required for the simple bulb swap). LEDMODs sell a kit for the HVAC that requires soldering, but it looks more uniformly correct.. good luck... jh
