I was going change a HU to something else, but want to keep it as originality as possible. Oh also would my steeling wheel control be used with this HU too? and so with iPOD and AUX plugs?

I've got it 100% working in an '08, I will confirm that the '09 wiring is the same when the Parts Dept. opens at Toyota tomorrow, but I cannot imagine it would be much different. Any updates I find will be posted in my thread listed above.

Without an adapter harness the iPod and AUX inputs will NOT work on a 2008 model, and I suspect not on a 2009 model as well (unless it is a late 2009 model nearing 2010). The AM, FM, CD, and HD features will all work. So will the SAT if you get the tuner.
