Clazzio with custom inserts - Vuitton or Metallic Leather?
I'm going to order Clazzio seat covers and then replace their leather inserts with my own. The question is what color should I order as the base?
Factors to consider:
Blackberry crush metallic
Goldplated wheels (yet to decide which ones)
Graphics (if I do them) would be gold but graphics are anti-VIP
Dashboard, etc. will remain grey
Insert options: Louis Vuitton Monogram (brown, gold with patinated
leather) OR plum metallic leather (have this also)
I think I have to give much consideration to all of that grey interior; I don't think I want to fool with painting it.
I like the beige Clazzio with the Vuitton but that grey is sooo dominant.
The ivory - anyone have those or seen them? Do they lean to white or yellow? I like the idea of the contrast with the plum leather or the LV but, again, that grey haunts me.
The black looks best with the grey. It continues the dramatic color scheme more than beige or ivory. No high contrast.
Remember, also, that in shadows and as the day goes to evening, purples often look brown anyway so the plum and LV would look very compatible in those conditions.

The plum metallic leather is a great match for the car color. I could do inserts of the leather and still use the LV on the headrests. Or neckrolls. And/or 2 bolster rolls just to sit in the left & right back seat.
Even if I go with the plum leather, I will probably use the LV on some accessories-girlie things like covering a tissue box, a lotion dispenser (in one of the drink holders).
And I've been creating things with Swarovski crystals for many years and lean toward some of the VIP things. Definitely want a license plate holder and will look for things/places to use them in the interior.
Of course, if I go with the gold graphics, that destroys any intent of leaning to VIP, at least in the purest sense. Of course, the blackberry color knocks it out of the "official" VIP color schemes anyway.
Thoughts, people? Thanks.

I like Coach too but don't have enough of any one fabric to use and don't really see anything I want to buy a lot of. Right now, Dooney & Bourke are my favs. Their all-weather leather is fabulous. DD got a beautiful red w/white leather on their website the other day for about $87- loved it. Their monthly specials change on the first of every month (50% off).
I'll be doing the inserts myself. I'm quite an accomplished seamstress with considerable upholstery experience. I'll likely buy the covers from a seller here on the board.
