Default cleaning the interior....speedo and multi-display issue

The background story....

I was just cleaning my interior. Nothing major, just doing a little light housecleaning, dusting and such. I was using a microfiber cloth on my instrument cluster "glass" and when I was done wiping, I had orange spots appear at random on my speedo and multi display that should NOT be there. I was not using any cleaners so it was a dry cloth.

My car was running so the display was lit. I'm guessing the static electricity built up from the dust in the cloth must have done something to the computer for the display. Lucky for me the spots disappeared.

I did this a couple time immediately after I saw the spots appear and confirmed it was from wiping the cluster glass off. I didn't use any pressure and found that it happened with I was wiping over the fuel and temp gauge but the spots appeared on the speedo and display next to it.

Anyone else ever see this happen? If not, I would recommend not letting it happen. The orange has since gone away and the black background has taken over again but I was really concerned for awhile that it wasn't going back to normal.

its a known issue. its static from your cloth. use some water or glass cleaner. that clear piece of plastic + microfibers create static.

The xB speedo clusters are so easy to take out that if it ever becomes dirty inside from whatever just pull it out and clean it...

Or you can pull it out and paint it. Or swap out LEDs. Or spend more money modding it.

I think they purposely had LEGO design our car just so that we can mod it.
