Sorry for this big bump from the dead but i had a couple of questions about this. When you swap out you leds, are there any resistors you have to swap also? im about to do my GF's guage to all white leds with pink needles, and i know that when i did the swap on my tC to all white, i needed to swap out a couple of resistors in the process so i was wondering if it was the same for the 2nd gen xB....

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

i would think that there are resistors to swap out but as Garage1217 hasnt attacked the xB2 gauges yet there arent any known resistors to swap. plus it all lights up well for me..

hey where are you getting your pink needles? i want a set of clear!

well thats what im trying to figure out on how to do.... i thought the xb2 needles were going to be just like the tC; painted on so all i wouldve had to do is take off the old paint and paint it pink....but after speaking with jeremy(garage1217) i guess the red on the needles is tinted on....so i dont know what to really do.....

and x2....how did you guys make your needles clear?

afaik, I've got the only set of clear for the xb2 (actually have two sets, one was the prototype) they are milled out of lexan. Mine are custom jobs with the 7's milled into the top. the core itself was made from two layers, one clear and one red. this way the needles get the blue light and the 7's illuminate red. the pics really dont do it justice

as far as details on how to get em (actually who to contact) go here http://www.scionapocalypse.com/forum...hp?f=14&t=3101

more importantly, be paitent. The guy does have a normal full time job

:D haha, where have you been?

quick question... has anyone else had a problem with their lights. yesterday my clock/gear indicator screen's light shut off. I can still see the info but the blue light wasnt on. everything was working fine. then about 30 min later it works. i go to work and on my way home it shuts off again. i checked the harness thinking it may be loose but everythings fine.
I've been thinking of changing to pink leds... haha. wife says no but i think it'll be nice. we'll see what happens!

i like the blue but i get bored fairly quickly with things. i'm on my 3rd trunk enclosure, 2nd in-dash, reupholstered the boxes 4 times, 2nd set of wheels, changed the color of the current wheels, resprayed my engine cover 3 times, changed the fabric on the door panels twice, looking to change the headliner again.

but yea, PINK! lol
i really want pink-chrome Jlines but they're waaaay too much. "It's what makes up different that brings us together."
haha, i love that commercial

I feel ya, 3 trunks, 2 headliners, 2 door panels, countless rewires and three gauge faces (and two sets of needles)

you want pink, go for it (as long as your wife says it's ok)
