Default Get your seat right...

When I purchased my XB I noticed that the seats were a little flat for my taste. I could lower the back part of the seat but I felt like the front edge of the seat needed to be raised a little. So I turned some 3/4" dia spacers 3/8" long and put them under the front seat mounts to give the seat some more tilt in it. This accomplished what I was looking for. Now I feel the seats are way more comfy. Just thought I would pass this along. This is something that is really easy to do.

I did the same thing on my first gen. I actually forget about it until I'm in the passenger seat and it feels so weird.

I've a 2008 manual and to get a decent driving position I raise the seat most of the way, move it back all but one or two clicks, lower the back enough to get the pressure off my lower back, and fully drop the steering wheel -- a semi reclined cruising position. This seems to work fine for feet and arms as long as I keep my hand positions low on the wheel -- typically 9:00 for the left and 5-6:00 for the right. I only reach higher if traffic conditions require it (serious/defensive maneuvering.) At low speeds (roughly 25mph or below) I tend to move my right hand to the shift **** with my elbow on the armrest.
