Easily the best Nav for the money, plus it's the cleanest looking one on the market. Imo.

I was looking at the avic-z2 with 30gb hard drive, 10gb for music storage. Its quite a bit more than the d3, but it looks pretty sweet

?????? The regular din size is 2"x7". Double din (which our xB's are) are 4"x7". H/U's are universal. There's single din, din and a half (which most GM's use) and double din.

That's about it. Of course there's weird OEM's like BMW's and stuff. But that's different.

Default Noone's mentioned it yet...

The Clarion MAX675VDII is the CNet.com editor's choice for a double-din. It's got your Sirius, DVD, iPod connectivity, etc.

You can tie in the steering wheel controls w/ a PAC adapter (I'm working on mine this weekend)

The add-on Nav is a 30GB HD based system w/ a USB port on the front.

The iPod interface is far and away the BEST out there.

The Avic-D3 is cheaper by comparison, but you get what you pay for. It was about $1100 for the head unit + nav + iPod cable for me.

You can also add a bluetooth module as well, etc etc - it's got a nice clean interface and it rocks - not to mention as far as the nav goes (if you don't need it, you don't buy it) it's lightning quick and it has some nice features.

I can get the MAX675VD for $70 cheaper than the VDII. Is there a major difference between the two besides bluetooth capability?

Default No, not an AVIC

The max675VDII w/ nav + cable.

Probably shouldn't switch subjects so quickly like that - not everyone has adhd-logic like me.

If you're on a budget, go AVIC-D3. If you've got more room to wiggle, the Clarion is far better and worth the extra $$.

Now I just need the Elemental Designs box to arrive so I can get some bass in mah car finally!

Did anyone that did an aftermarket install have any trouble locating the Vehicle speed sensor signal wire on the XB?
