how did you run your backup cam wire?
I don't have a backup camera or a system in my car, but I would assume that if you were hooking it up under the hatch garnish (above the license plate), you would want to run the wires through that hatch garnish itself. I would drill a small hole through the garnish just large enough to fit the backup wire through it. It would be cleaner and more simple.
There are some xB's out there that have them installed by removing the rear wiper and fitting a camera into the plug spot. I forget who has them on ScionLife, but I've seen at least two xB's like this. I think Pasquale has this mod.

I ran mine up from the wiper hole, then tucked in the hatch frame around the rear window, through the rubber boot that contains the brake light, wiper, etc. harness, then underneath the headliner, down the b-pillar, along the lower frame of the front passenger door, behind the glovebox, then into the back of the head unit. Kind of a pain in the rectum, but worth it in the end. Hope that made sense.
I did this to mine, so since I didn't have to drill a hole in the door, I haven't replied to this question.
im going to try and run mine this weekend if i have time between the dynamat and putting it all back together. going to try and run everything along the top. mounting the camer just underneath the brake light on the inside to give me a higher viewpoint gotta check it all out first. anyways hope this helps some and gives you a few good ideas.
