Default iPod adapter compatability?

I was wondering if the stock iPod adapter was compatible with other headunits produced by Pioneer.
If I were to install another Pioneer head unit like the D3 into the xB2, would I be able to use the factory iPod adapter, or would I have to get a new one and find somewhere else to install it?

Do you have a pic of the pioneer ipod connector? I had mine apart and saw how it is connected in the center consoled. I am hoping to take my radio out tomorrow too and will let you know what I discover

No it would not work I have a D3 in mine. You need the CD-I200 cable. I have my iPod ran from my D3 under the dash to the center console cubby.
