I like the fact that I can see how good (or bad) my mileage is, how warm it is outside (it lies), average MPG, etc with the Multi-Information-Control-Switch, but it's a pain in the butt to have to reach up just to change it.

Has anyone modified it so the function can be changed by another switch in a different location, like the shift console?

 

It's just a two wire switch so it should be a simple matter of soldering a pair of leads to the circuit board and running them to where you want to put the switch. Just need a mommentary push button switch mounted where you want it.
