Isn't that the truth! I have too much debt from modding the tC, let alone starting to do the box lol

Lol. I know how it goes. Once you start modding, it just doesn't end. Next on the agenda is installing my Pioneer AVIC D3 which is just sitting in my closet. Then I will do somehting with the suspension/handling.
Glad you guys like it, and it was a very cheap option.

definitely do the steering wheel controls, it's worth it to have that full integration. my tc didn't have the steering wheel controls cuz it was an 05, so i'm spoiled now. i just have to install my old sound system now :D

The TRD shift **** is sick, but for some reason the xB2 shift **** (stock one) is very appealing to me. I put it in my tC and it matches in there perfectly. Chrome trim around it, silver matches the waterfall, etc.

Thats a secret of mine i'll share, haha. So moral is... put your stock one in the for sale section with some pics, make some money back.

Anyone one of you wishing to sell your original 2008 xB manual shifter ****, please contact me through PM, indicating price desired.

Sorry for posting here, but since I do not have 50 posts, I cannot post in the WTB forum.

Tks,
Jms

I had the leather TRD **** in my manual tC... loved it. My xB is an automatic, so I didn't need want the gears stamped on top & went w/ something else.

I didn't much care for the oem shift ****, end so when I ran across this thread, I placed my order. The new TRD **** arrived Thursday and is perfect, simply perfect -- absolutely comfortable and natural to my hand. So the original **** joined a few other original items in my oem Scion xB bits-and-pieces box !

Hell Yah. My xB oem parts box is sitting on my garage floor, tucked in the corner.
Congrats on the new ****.

Default white plastic shift boot ring

Anyone who has the TRD shift **** find something cooler to do with that annoying white ring that clips on top of the shift boot? The **** came today and its sweet but now that white plastic ring is exposed and it looks dumb.

Simple -- hide it with the boot. The resulting look is perfect!

Default Duh

I love it when the best answer is so friggin simple! What does the ring do anyways then if it can go above or below the boot. Guess I will find out soon....thanks for the reply

In my opinion, the boot is sufficiently sized that having it slip over the disc creates no material stress, though the disc DOES provide a nice clean install with the original ****. I consider slipping the boot over the disc to be nothing more than a workaround, but nonetheless -- a clean and good looking workaround! It works for me !
