I'm wondering if I should order the Premium HU from Scion, because I'm looking to install some serious slap in my xB when I get it. I like the stock integrated look of the Scion decks, but if the sound quality is junk, then I'll just go with the stock and order another HU later. How is the pre-out voltage on the RCAs, and how do you disable the factory high-level speaker outputs? I'm hoping that since its Pioneer branded, its a decent unit, especially because I can get it in the final price of the xB.

If thats too much for you to read.... Hows the sound quality of the premium HU, is it worth it if you're going to build a system?

I have one and I love it easy to install new speakers to the back and I like how they run the rca for you. All in all I recommend it

 

i just got a premium pioneer for my 07tc. does anyone know what i need to install it? or how to install it? also can this be controlled by the steering wheel?

 

If the premium system is anything like the standard Pioneer HU, then the RCA outs are for subs only. No matter how high a wattage a HU has, it's still inferior to a good outboard amp. Just not enough current capacity in a HU. Go for a good aftermarket HU and the mounts for it come close to stock looking.

 

if you can not find it here maybe you should try with Amazon or Ebay... I am sure that you will find it somewhere!
