wow those are bright!

ellisinseoul 04-12-2009 06:13 AM

but still not bright enough to see during the day....barely noticeable during the day. I am satisfied with the way they came out......i didn't do the spots because people would say that i bit off BRABUS....so i just did a strip of LEDs...

bBlover 04-12-2009 06:25 AM

I wouldn't really call those puddle lights then. More along the lines of neon. And Brabus aren't the originators of puddle lights so no whoever told you that was wrong.

ellisinseoul 04-12-2009 06:30 AM

i never said that they were the originators just that they marketed the puddle lights and everyone...or most people recognize it as BRABUS...that was all..

ellisinseoul 04-12-2009 07:51 AM

for some reason the nightime pics look alot brighter than they actually are......

redline8k 04-12-2009 04:12 PM

Now all we need is a way to mount those on the bumper to get rid of that ____ty reverse light ha ha.

ellisinseoul 04-12-2009 06:24 PM

i will work on the on monday, busy weekend!

and then connected it to the lead to the door light switch...very simple..took me about 30 minutes for the wiring.

redline8k 04-17-2009 01:42 AM

just doublestick tape...? easy enough I guess.

pretty slick. one of the mods on my to do list. if you turn on your dome light whole driving will they turn on? that would bother the hell out of me.

ellisinseoul 04-17-2009 06:18 AM

no i did not wire it up like a mexican car.....just on when you open and close the door....also, when you disarm the car

randomsuper 04-17-2009 07:00 AM

nice! mind telling me how you did it?

ellisinseoul 04-17-2009 07:10 AM

if you take your lower dashboard panel apart...and look up towards the A pillar on the driver's side...you will see a thin 3 lined power lead to the dome lights....tap into the center line which is the line that fades in and out...the negative you can ground to the chassis.....as far as getting the power wire to the leds...i am sure that you saw the pics and will be able to figure out how to get the wire through the chassis.

AndreyCo 04-17-2009 07:28 AM

wow looks very nice!

ellisinseoul 04-17-2009 07:33 AM
