i hate the shifter on my xb. it feels cheap and sticky. same goes for the steering wheel. anyone have pics of their upgraded shift ****? i'm looking for some ideas on what to get. and if anyone got the steering wheel upgrade let me know what you think. I may cheap out and just get it wrapped in leather to save some bucks.

xtylerx, did you get a MT xB? Or is that just the trim and shift boot on your AT?

 

It's a manual. The first pic is from a different car, I drove an auto 08 xB as a company car before I bought my RS6.0.

 

oh i guess i should mention that i have an auto tranny.

@cionide: i was wondering how long it was going to take before someone posted the beer tap shifter.

 

I actually took that pic & posted it on another thread more than a year ago, but since the question was brought up & I was the first to respond, I thought I'd throw it out there again. I put on the Schlitz tap handle & took the pic at a party with my beermeister in the garage; it was actually kinda funny because the xB2 was a new model back then, and when people opened the doors to check out the interior they asked where the beer came out if they pulled on the tap handle. I've never tried to push my luck driving around with it... sometimes it doesn't pay to advertise.

 

How do you guys like the xB2 over the first xB? Sorry OP if you want me to take this to PM, just let me know

#344, wish it was #13, I wonder who has that.

 

Mine don't mind the gap around teh stereo working on getting pieces for that. Can not find anything

Are your panels wrapped in suede!?

 

Yes they are. The panels by the heater ***** will be wrapped once I find someone to do them for me so I do not mess them up as well as the silver piece on the left side of the steering wheel. The shift boot area was covered in bondo first to make it smooth.

 

I didn't like the feel of the OE shift **** either. Got a replacement from TRDSparks within two weeks of bringing the car home.
