Default Sub's on a Premium head unit

I have the Premium head unit and i like it alot. Was wondering who has this unit and is runing Sub's off of it? Looking to add One 12'' Sub for some bass nothing too crazy.

In my explorer i have KenWood flip out JL Audio Component Systems Front and back and a JL Audio W7 With JL Audio Amps. But dont need another Crazy System like that one.

Just wanna add some bass and make sure everything is going to work good and any ideas would be great.

Running a Kenwood powered sub and it works just fine! I originally wanted the Infinity Basslink II but my girlfriend gave this to me for free to I installed it. Happy with it.

I added a Fusion 300w amp and 12" sub to my premium HU. Fry's had the whole thing (amp, sub, wires, fuse, etc.) for $150. It sounds very good.

There's a couple threads on this...

But there's a grommet on each side of the car. Said grommet has a kind of nipple. Snip nipple with wire cutters, run cable through! Done!

Now trying to snake 1/0 through the nipple. That took me some time.

It sounds great. The Fry's by me had a bunch of them.

Here's a link to another store selling them: http://www.echo-electronics.com/fusi...ck-p-1135.html

The amp is the EN-AM3002.

The sound from the stock speakers is good enough to leave alone and just purchase an amp and sub?

That's entirely up to you. The sound from the stock speakers is what it is. If you're OK with it and want more bass, then add a sub. If not, replace them and amplify as necessary.

I'm just curious because during the test drive they don't have the head unit in so I can't hear how the radio/speakers sound.

They gave you a car to test with no head unit? That's weird. Tell them you want another test drive so you can listen to the radio.

Scions don't come with the head units in them now. It saves them money in labor to wait until the purchaser decides which head unit to install and then they install it at that point.
