Default Switch cutout on 5 speed panel

So what is the switch cutout to the right of the manual shift lever intended to be used for?

Also, while I'm at it, how do the factory fog lights get switched? Where does that switch mount?

THat cutout is where the security system LED would go. and yes, the fogs are switched, left side of the dash by your knee you'll see a spot for three switches[/quote]

Thanks. What is the second available switch cutout on the left knee panel used for? Underdash lighting?

I moved my TPS switch over there and now have 3 rockers over on the left side of the wheel.

Was there enough wire to get it to reach over there? Also, I assume you had to take something apart, but was it just the console cover by the shifter or did you need to remove the lower dash assembly?

Yea, I kind of wish they NORMALLY put the Security LED over on the left side with the Fog lights switch, and the TPS switch next to the shift lever. IMHO it makes sense that the Fog Light switch is next to the head lights control, and makes sense for the TPS grouped with the shift control. Plus the 3 switches on the left side are unnatural to "feel" for while finding it, since it's way down there. It always confused me to look for the TPS switch and find 2 switches that feel exactly the same (Fog Lights/TPS). Putting the security LED there would resolve this instantly.
