Went to local car stereo store to have 2 amps put in.. Could not figure out why we had feed back and alternator whine... Bought the aftermarket deck with RCA preouts just to keep the clean factory look..Most people don't steal stock... Come to find out went through a big ordeal all day until they figured out the rca jacks on the radio were bad.. About 20 phone calls later to scion and pioneer.. To prove what was wrong.. Had to put the car back together where the car had been taken apart .. Then take it to toyata to show them what was wrong.. A 2 hour appointment turned into a all day affair.. Because we did not want to put the car together after it was apart.. Just wondering if anyone has had aproblem like this with there radio yet...

alternator whine is usualy a bad or week ground

 

-----^ agree-- check your ground connections, and ring terminals... make sure they are secure, and the ground points are free of paint.. they should be clean metal to metal connections.. also make sure that your nground cable is the correct guage wire for the amount of power you are going to be running..

 

Yeh we went through all that come to find out i went to toyota and just changed radios and everything was fine
