Valet button/switch location in 2008 Scion xB?
Hey y'all,
I recently bought a 2008 Scion xB off the side of the road and I wanted to install my own car alarm. I've been told that I need to locate the Valet button and that it may be under the dash, but I haven't seen it yet.
Can I have some advice about the location of the Valet button? Can't get the car set up without it.
Thanks!

Couldn't find anywhere that the Gen2's came with a 'valet button'...typically that would be something that's installed as part of an aftermarket alarm. And doesn't make much sense to put a valet switch under the dash as that would be the first place a car thief would look.

Honestly if you are having to ask this question I would suggest having the alarm professionally installed. It does not sound like you have much experience with installing aftermarket electronics in cars and an alarm needs to interface with the starter and ignition system. Poorly installation is the main reason for car alarms failing and/or causing issues with starting. I'm not trying to be mean but this is something that can cause you numerous headaches if not done correctly. I dealt with, and fixed, way too many improperly installed alarms when I still did this professionally.
