Default Window Tint

Does anyone know if you can put window tint over already installed window tint? Or would it be smart to remove the old tint and put on new tint? I want to get it slightly darker tint instead of what the dealer installed at least for the rear and back glass. I don’t like people being able to look in and see my stuff.

I dont think you can remove the dealer installed tint. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but I though it was built into the glass. But yes, you can tint over it though.

The deal had added 139 for tint on all the scion xBs. They showed me one without and only the rear hatch window was tinted. But they would not sell me that one said it would be a week or more before they got around to preping it for sell. What bunch of BS. But my wife was happy with the one we got and she things the tint is dark enough but if you live in AZ outside of completely dark it hot hot... I want to just order one of the pre cut one and put it on when she is out. She probably would not even notice it.

If the dealer installed window tint, you'd have to get it removed in order to have darker. The stock rear windows have the tint inside the glass.

This is correct, rear and hatch are colored glass but you can still tint over them with no issues.

Cool Thank you for you input... I will have the lighter tint removed and get dark tint. On the rear hatch I can just tint that over since its colored glass(built in). Does anyone know a reasonable price person who would remove the lighter tint and retint the windows darker on the driver side and pass in AZ? I would also darken up the back seat windows along with the hatch.
