I've installed a Kinetik HC1800 under my passenger seat. There's a sensor or something in the front of the seat that hangs down. I'll need to fab up a new bracket so the seat can still slide all the way back.

The hump helps keep the battery in place! Lol!

I do agree, though, the hump would block output and what not. Maybe something that takes place of the stock foam tray in the rear above the spare tire...

The space in between the two plastic side pieces

I've been working on it all day, but it keeps ending up slightly off and not fitting = frustration.

A drawing on like sketch-up, autocad, or just a drawing in general?

Posterboard is your friend!!! Get your hands dirty and press all along the outside of the posterboard. I've used this method quite a bit to reinforce frames.

But I transfered the drawing to steel and cut it out of course.

I was just waiting for someone to ask if I reinforce frames with posterboard and how...

Doh! Good spot as well previously used and I completely forgot abouy it. Good call. Think an SQ10 fits there Chris?
What about making an enclosure like the OEM Bazooka one? Off to the side, doesn't give up a lot of space and should give you enough room to work with.

Import an image from the camera to Sketchup.

Trace the thing,

Resize to the correct size.

Export DXF to AutoCAD.

Confirm size is correct.

Send to CNC.

Cut.

Test fit.

Start over again, pushing and pulling 1/4" in random spaces.

I think I've finally got it and it's cutting now

No, no, no.
What I meant to imply was you could use the same space and build a real enclosure that wouldn't be such an eye-sore. I was trying to give ideas you could build off of.

They want to offer something, just as they did for xB1, but it seems it doesn't fit quite right, shame. So looking for options and ideas from the folks that would buy it. I want all of my space, so I want stealth and was closely following the remake of the Gen 1 enclosure for the Gen 2. I for one am keenly interested.

PS it's spelled weird
Thats weird that the spelling rule.." i, before e, except after c" doesnt apply here....... wierd, man......... jh

I think that's what he's planning.

Replacing the foam tray with something like that would work.
This is what I got:

Any questions, let me know.

No way!! It's loud and sounds good!

Until I fried my amp...

Now I have to send it out to db-r to get it repaired. Hopefully by then I'll have a Digital Designs 9512G and be beating the street again!
