Default New xB????

Does the new xB resemble this pic I drew at all with exception of the rear glass, no door handles and no turn signal side mirrors?

try more like the t2b.

the power plant was the dual vvti. 1.8l
best option for economy and a boost in power.

but will the bigger size off-set the power gains??

i would not trade my xb in for this new xB.

i strongly feel it lost it's character and becomming too mainstream. too toyota-ish.

lost some flexability in modding it.

Black background like the tC's

Engine: 2.4L (we got the model to open the hood for us and Troy[from 5
axis] ran over to close it but I still got a good look)
close...

projectors are the low beams...the halogens were the high beams

the engines were dual vvti...

if it ain' t square....it ain't there!
the blind spots are about as big as our current xB.

....can you really see much out of them anyways??? i mean they are sooo deep the angle you have from the drives seat is soo poor, they might as well have been solid.

use mirrors instead.

Did you get to see the interior? Does it have a better looking dash, is there a center arm rest- a full size console?

Rear speakers, are they small and low to the floor board as in the current car cuase now you mostly hear music up front. Did they mention anything bout options? Like sunroof, rear spoiler, dash appliques and so on.

Wheels were there any mention on how big we can go? I know my current wheels will fit because of universal wheel pattern but if this thing looks like the t2b, I am looking to go 20's

Fog lights are they in the bumper same position as ours or in a different spot? round or rectangular.

Start button, nav, ipod jac, remote on key head- i.e tc?

Where there any colors mentioned?

Seats are they recaror shape

I think this is enough can't think of anything else but if I do I will return.
they opened all the doors...
the interior has the same feel (cloth) as current models.
there was a center armrest. it looked small and fixed to the floor....so if you need your seat forward, it will not be usefull.
there is no floor console that runs the length. s rather large hanging console comes down from the dash...never reaching the floor...the center armrest/console does not come forward enought to be of much use.

the rear speakers were the same size as the fronts...(like our xB)

no options were discussed other than a body kit from 5-axis.
no prices were mentioned

wheels should fit...but the new ones are 5 lug....

fogs are in the bumper like current xb...but is only a small round one in a large plastic panel...looked very ugly and not production ready....

no start button...this is scion. it had an 06 head unit in it...with steering wheel controls...did not see an ipod hook up (but was not looking for one...)

as with prices and accessories, no colors were talked about...only word i got was 'this is scion, there will be plenty of colors' i take that to mean there will be 5 different blues and 1 other color...lol

seats looked like they were pulled from the xB...the rear looked like it was from the Rav4...sliding, folding, reclining seat...very sweat if you ask me...
headrests were a disapointment...hung forward and down onto the seat (means no monitors...)

two dome lights (both of which are over the front seats...) nothing for the cargo or rear seat....

between DG and Tomas they pretty much nailed it. I havent seen a pic anywhere near close to what i remember, and i wasnt drinking. What i do remember was the 3 or 4" chop out of the side of the box. That and the solid rear quaters. The dual exhaust with dual tips was a nice feature as well.

Would i trade my RS1 for a new xB2? Damn straight. Its already in the works.

nope. they used cheap vinyl to make it look that way.
lame if you ask me.

they seemed to add the things that people usually take off of their cars...(tape around the windows...)
and made other things harder to modify cleanly...dual exhaust tips...most folks i know get a nice free flowing aftermarket setup (read single can on one side).
if they do it, there will still be the cut out on the other side looking stupid.

Any idea how "fixed up" the cars were?? I keep hearing stuff about color-matched interior, rims, projectors, and body kits.

We all remember the bbX...

But we really got...

So my question is... How true to production ready were the cars they showed? Or were they pimped out? Did it seem lowered, or have wheel gap? Just curious.

they were about as close as those two...

the one we saw had a kit on it (as stated several time). so what will it look like with out the kit....don't know...

the painted interior parts...prolly won't see production...(good too, cause they looked rushed...there was a huge gap on the center console to the dash on the pass side)

they were on Volk rims (as stated before...) do you think we are gonna get rims stock???

the body keyed mirrors will indeed make it (with the turn sig's in them...) much nicer than the xB bulky ones...and they still folded in (unlike the xA and tC ones...)

I thought this whole fiasco was to unveil the actual replacements not concepts. What a joke if you ask me. The whole way they chose people to go was a joke also. Guess we just wait and see what the actual vehicle will look like when the get unveiled at some auto show?
