The xB goes back to at least 1999 when it was sold in Japan as the bB. The Element was released in Japan and US in 2003. The design was first shown in 2001 as the Honda Model X.

well. ok. thank you for the info. so the xb, "bb 1999 in japan" was first.

a buddy in high school had a '49 and a '51
