Default 2008 xB color list

Hey, so here's the list of colors for the 2008 xB.

Color codes for the 2008 xB:
040 (Super White)
1F7 (Classic Silver)
209 (Black Sand Pearl)
3N0 (Blackberry Crush Metallic)
8S6 (Nautical Blue)
8U3 (Hypnotic Teal Mica)

From what I have been told both the Blackberry and the Hypnotic Teal are brand new colors that just came out of development. The Blackberry was a subued dark red and the Teal was a color very similar to jade (the precious stone).

This is solid information from the Toyota ordering system, NOT speculation. I hope you enjoy it!

Another crappy dark red... HOW ABOUT JUST PLAIN RED!

The green sounds interesting, but I doubt it will be a bright, vivid green. Probably dark green (like Camo was)

Once again Scion is saving "good" colors for the release series'.

i work in jewelry manufacturing. "jade" can be soo many shades, so don't get excited.

"Teal" on the other hand, no matter what shade, is the color no MAN on earth I've know would actively choose. It's the color my grandma would choose for her astrovan once menapause starts in.

When I went to look at cars, I went to the mazda dealership and there was an older couple there(45-55?), and the woman was just estatic about getting the Mazda5(do i even have to say that car-thing is lame?). That is the perfect canidate for liking the color "Teal".

I've never seen a car, or shirt or anything else named "teal" that is "decent" or even "ok". has any guy?

Just say no to Teal.

Scion is supposed to be a "youthful" brand, so why such bland colors? Young people don't like teal.

How about Absolutely Red and Speedway Blue? These are STOCK toyota colors that they sell to Scion customers as "special editions"

WOW ... this just makes my day. Now, if i can only get a hint as to what the Nautical Blue will look like. I hope its a poping blue similar to the Tundra ... Matrix .. or the Beamer.

This is also a concern of mine. I love that i currently have a RS1 and would love it if a RS1 xB2 were offered. We shall see, i mean, they are only letting a select few dealerships have them when they first come out.

Man, I was really hoping for some exciting colors. RSs don't have to be the ONLY exciting colors, just different ones.

Much thanks for putting this up.

After sleeping on it ... i agree with everyone else here. It would seem as Scion is just going with plain every day colors for their new venture. White, silver, blue, BCP and black are all staples that are just basic in color. If the Hypnotic Teal is just that, a Teal .. then my chioce will be a dissapointment.

Scion, if your listening ... give us some colors that show off the new B. That color that was on the box in Miami was brilliant, make that a color option for us.

Did you read the thread about how the cars in Miami were painted? It sounds ridiculously expensive, and in a recent meeting with our Scion reps they told us that it takes 3 years for a color to be thought of designed tested and finally put on a car. So any color they might come up with now would have had to have been thought of three years ago . . .

^^^ unless they borrow another color from another car that they already make. For example ...

Toyota Matrix

offered ~~> Super White .. Indigio Ink Pearl .. Black Sand Pearl
transferrable ~~~> Radiant Red .. Speedway Blue

Yaris

offered 4 door ~~> Polar White .. Black Sand Pearl .. Flint Mica
offered 3 door ~~> Polar White .. Black Sand Pearl

transferable ~~~> Absolutley Red .. Bayou Blue Pearl .. Olive Mist Metallic

Corolla

offered ~~> Indigo Ink .. Black Sand Pearl

tansferable ~~~> Impulse Red Pearl

Avalon

offered ~~> Indigo Ink Pearl

Tundra

offered ~~> Suoer White .. Indigo Ink Pearl .. Black Sand Pearl

transferable ~~~> Radiant Red .. Impulse Red Pearl .. Speedway Blue

There are more modles but i didnt want to look through them all. As you can see, the colors that are offered from Scion are not strickly Scion alone with the exception of the RS colors.

the RS colors are mostly available on other toyotas from all over the world. the other thing about colors is that the paint has to already be in the factory where they build the scion. so for instance, the speedway blue would be awesome, but they don't make the tacoma in the same factory as the scions, so we can't get that color. (i don't know if that example is a fact, just trying to make clear my point)

^^^ mmmm possibly, but it wouldnt be that hard to transferr so many gallons of any paint between plants. If they are on the same continent the cost would be minimal.

Im just surprised that with such a hot selling car ( Scion ) and the release of a new model that was made over i thought for sure they would offer some eye catching colors. I know for the first year i couldnt go and get a gallon of milk up the road with out several peeps asking what i was driving and what the color was. Now every car maker is offering some variation of the Hot Lava Orange for their line of cars. IMO the RS1 really set Scion off and running here on the East Coast.

Just for my information, does that mean that all the vehicles i listed that share the same color are made in the same plant?
