I think the RS colors are cool, but if Toyota produced them in the numbers they did the "bland" colors, they'd find out not that many people would chose an extreme color over a bland one.

no, it means that when choosing colors for scions they can only choose from certain colors, and it must be color already being used in the plant that they plan to build the car in.

NBM? Cmon now, then the current xB's color Blue Onyx Pearl is hacked cause no one uses it. Lexus doesn't use BOP anymore, they use this new color called Black Sapphire Pearl. They could of at least used that color on the xB2. Speedway Blue would have been nice, or even the new Tundra blue(lighter blue, its available in NBM too). Hmm, maybe they'll come out with new colors for the 09 in 08. I think Maziora purple would be nice for the next RS or even Speedway blue.

What is wrong with just using bright colors. Everything they use is so drab and boring. It sad to have bright cars and dark colors.

If their Jade is anything like Nissan's Jade color it's more of a gray color.

They use dark colors because that's what market research shows is preferable for our target demographic.

Once again Scion is saving "good" colors for the release series'.

I agree Just plain red would have been nice to get.

Looking into getting a release series myself I guess . . . I don't know about the stock colors, but hey, whatever works!

Any guesses on the RS color?

I would go for speedway blue!

the color i was kinda hoping for on the xB2 was the Azure Pearl from the tC. I know it may not be a "MANs" color but Baby Blue is my favorite color. If they came out with something like that Id buy it in a heartbeat. But so far i wouldnt know what color I would want in the xB2. I still dont know if I am even gonna get rid of my RS 2.0 for one yet!

Where did that crap about Azure Pearl being for girls? Blue of any shade will NEVER be just for girls. It would look Haut on an xB!!!

makes you wonder what market research showed that a box (toaster, fridge, take your pick) on wheels would be preferable for our target demographic. (want an example, anyone want to buy an old volvo with the latest features?)

The box style was for the uniqueness of it. We all know a Volvo isn't cool because of its edges, the xB is cool because it looks different. It's a theory called polarized styling. It evokes emotion. That is the idea.

Actually according to Toyota's market research the xB wasn't supposed to be as successful as the xA. So to make a theory out of such useful research, well...

I like the fact that people are always posting color codes on this web site. VERY helpful, the body shop could not help me when I needed to get some body parts painted. Gave them the color code from this site HOT LAVA and now my BSP has Hot lava on the hood and bumper. I am thinking about putting some more Hat Lava on the rear bumper and side skirts.

^^^ I cant help but to ask, are you blaming SL and us posting paint codes, or are you just making a joke? Judging from your avi i would say its blame. If thats the case, not only is it your body shops fault for not looking at the paint code on the door but its also your fault for not double checking and making sure you gave him the correct code to begin with. I know if i had a BSP car and was having something painted i would have told my body shop ... " Yeah, the paint code is .... and its Black Sand Pearl. " What gets me, is why any body shop would ask you for the piant code rather then taking if off the car itself. Very unprofessional IMO.

bb2ner lol i had read a post awhile back in the tC forum about the Azure Pearl and some peeps were saying its a girls color and stuff like that. Me personally I love the color and had wished the xB had it. Now im hoping the xB2 will get some sort of "UNC Blue" color. Yes I do agree just about any blue iz hot!

I was not complaining. If it wherent for this site, i would not have been able to get the hot lava color. I am happy about the color and need to put more of it on my car. For the price of the repair the body shop did a good job.
