Default 2009 xb engine harness removal(engine in car)

So I’m replacing my engine harness as car overheated and shut down. Up and running again but only 1.3 volts is being read at the vvt connector regardless of motor is running or not.

any tips? I have most of it unplugged my only struggle will be behind the head and I’m assuming under the intake next to cylinder head. Is there any bolts or is it just clips?

1.3 volts is not good correct? Should be between 5-12 volts correct?
thanx in advance

If I remember correctly it's all clips. Been a few years since I took mine apart though. I recommend taking the intake completely off as well as the plastic tray that goes around the wiper arms and overhangs the engine bay. It gives you a ton more room to work with and you can actually see the harness.

thank you.
I had to do that to remove the cylinder head. A friend of mine said he used a mitror but I like the idea of being able to see what I am doing lol. And I could investigate what maybe happened.

do you remember there being a ground to the motor on the backside, besides the one that’s on the corner by the throttle body.
(a bolt with a few wires screwed to engine block)

I don't think there is a ground but I'm pretty sure the knock sensor is mounted to the block back there.
