4Runner to the xB
First time poster here...
The lease on the 2005 4Runner V8 is up at the end of next month. I love the thing except for when I go to the gas station. At the current gas prices, I am putting about $400 worth in it a month....it just kills me. Also, it's time to get something the kids can drive in 5 or 6 years.
When I was younger, I had a '95 Integra GS-R....loved that thing too. I am hoping the xB will give me some of that "fun to drive" aspect back while giving me more space and versatility.
I'll get the automatic...thought long and hard about that, but I am older now.
On top of that, I will get the 16" alloys.
So my question....which swaybars (brandwise) would you get for best bang for the buck? Front and rear...or just rear?

Welcome!
The xB2 is quite fun to drive but if you are expecting performance compared to a GS-R you may a little disappointed. The xb2 is fun in the lower RPMs especially because of the torque advantage, but it falls flat in the upper ranger (where the GSR shines).
I drive a 5-speed and at times I do wish I got the auto because traffic sucks here in Dallas.
As far as sway bars go the best bang for the buck is the hotchkis sways. If you are on a budget the TRD rear sway is a GREAT mod.

And as far as sway bars goes, the TRD one is the cheapest route at the moment. Unless you can buy the hotchkis rear sway by its self, but I'm not too sure on that.
Fun factor, reliability, gas mileage, interior space and standard features for the price. I also really like the chop-top styling of the body design.
My last two cars were a Buick Century and a Cadillac SLS (can you say boring?), so I wanted to get something that I could have fun modding without crushing the reliability or breaking the bank.
25 years ago I had cars like a '65 Barracuda with a small block V-8 and 4-speed, and then a '68 Charger with big block V-8 and 4-speed. The xB obviously isn't a muscle car, but it doesn't come with muscle car mpg or insurance rates either. Now that I've slowed down in my old age I'm OK with that.
