Default Anyone else's reception garbage?

My radio reception on my xB is terrible. ive swapped the antenna tip a few times with some here at work and its the same. The only station that comes in the local one and its horrible. Its forcing me to purchase the majorly expensive XM receiver for it just so i can get off my iPod. Whenever i park at my complex my signal goes out. Ive never had a vehicle thats gotten such poor reception. Before i make one of the tech's here look at it is there anything else i should check? All my connections are tight, i checked that when i added my LOC.

You should see what a friend's car's reception is like, maybe it's just your location entirely.

Maybe antenna wire's loose on your head unit or something? I dont see why that would be the case but its worth a try. Good luck!

I didnt notice any bad reception before I switched my deck and my antenna. Now I don't listen to anything but CD, iPod or my XM myfi. Cause to me radio still sucks.

Don't know dude! When I installed my Kenwood radio in the xB2, I didn't attach the auto antenna wire (don't see the need since it's always up), but my reception is better than before. If I compare against another Kenwood in my Eclipse, the xB2 wins (and the Eclipse radio is fine IMO). I've read on xB2 forums the antenna wire feeds a reception amplifier, but I've no particular reason to presume this to be the case. Still, if it turns out to be true, I guess I'll have to make that connection !
