Anyone install the Center Console from 2011 into earlier year xB?
I just checked the 2011 xB and the big change was the center console.
I want to put it in my 2009....is it possible to do this? looks like we'd sacrifice the folddown armrest but b/c the rest of the interior specs are the same, it should work.
anyone try it?
thanks in advance for any insights!

I don't know how to get a direct link to work, but if you go to their home page, click on the search button in the square that says "Replacement OEM Parts Search", then enter the year, make, and model (2011, Scion, xB), then type in "center console" where it says "Part Number or Keyword", and click on the search button it will pop up.

One of my buddies was with me at the stealership, and we started tinkering with my center console, and we're pretty sure it can be swapped over with some work. The layout is pretty similar. It doesn't look all that tough. Once my coils are installed and the windows tinted, I'm thinking we're going to try it...

i hate that my 08 console sits so low. Im 6'8" i have a super lean going on when im driving. That driver side arm rest is a joke. Im down to look at the 11' at work and see what i can do about getting a taller one in my 08.

so I checked w/ Scion "tech support" -- they say it's possible to swap but there are potential issues....incl the placement/function of the AUX jack.
in the next breath they added that this modification would void the warranty for any of the affected parts/systems/etc.
if the dealership thinks it's possible to move the aux jack and make it functional I'm gonna consider doing this....

It is quite expensive for the whole console, as you may need the whole entire thing. Apparently the 2011 sits a little higher than the 2010. What exact part are you looking for and I can get you the part number on it?

basically it is the entire center console and any mounting hardware. the sense I got from the dealer service dept was that we could keep the cupholder component but everything beyond that would need to be replaced.
oddly the schematics for the '08 and the 11 console look identical, even tho the actual equipment is somewhat different....
you asked about the Part #: can anyone help me determine everything I might need to do this swap? it's impossible to tell from the toyota site. and I can't seem to find part numbers when I do the search on the Sparks site!
thanks

Its the same exact part #s for the 08 and 11' console top and pieces. Im not sure if theres an error in toyotas microfish but thats what it tells me.

Well, if they are the exact same part numbers, then if you order them, you'll get the exact same parts. Sounds like the fiche didn't keep up with the model refresh.

whats weird is that everything else such as bumpers and lighting updated. But its the same exact console picture/information.
