Anyone install the Center Console from 2011 into earlier year xB?

update....
so I ordered and had the center console installed.
it fits great and makes for much more pleasant driving!
alas, it's not as plug-and-play as we all might have hoped: because of the way things are wired, it is difficult to get the ipod connection to fit -- I opted to sacrifice it and just use the AUX. which works fine. and keeps iphone or whatever device hidden if you want, as the port is inside the console.
two other snags to be aware of: for some reason Toyota has changed the way parts for this ship: even tho the schematic shows that the rear-facing panel is included, it's not. the 09 panel doesn't fit. so we had to order the 11 panel and then snap in the cupholder assembly from the original console. this can be done without tools.
a larger issue that's prompting a return to the service dept this week: the existing armrest that's attached to the seat prevents easy opening of the console storage box. it just rubs against the thing. the tech who installed it noted this and suggested I live with it for a day or two to decide if it's a problem. for me it is, and I'll post an update when I learn how much it'll cost to remove the thing.
hope this helps...

further update
just got back from service to see about the removal of the old (OEM) armrest stalk from driver's seat.
the tech has worked on toyota cars for 20 years and could not say with certainty whether he'd have to remove the seat entirely or work with it in place. that fishing expedition would have taken at least an hour of labor -- than another 2-3 hours to actually remove the thing.
I opted to leave it alone and just tolerate the awkward opening/closing of the console box lid. it's a pain but not impossible. it did not seem worth possibly $400-500 in labor to fix.
Cionide here's a rough breakdown. it's not more specific because I had other work done while at the dealership, so this is for parts and what seems clearly listed for labor:
2011 console 180.00
hardware 9.00 (didn't end up needing much of it)
rear panel 65.00
labor was at least 3 hrs, maybe more.
hope that helps.
my bottom line: like the console a ton, sure wish I'd have know about the issues/cost of removing the dinky stalk from the seat.

Never thought the OEM driver seat armrest would be such an issue to remove.

dude... the armrest on the seat comes off in about 2 seconds. you pop off the small plate over the bolt, I think its a 12mm or 14mm, and then you just remove the bolt.
done.
Pics of the console please!
done.

wow....will try that
@Phobic, others: I had no idea that it was this easy. dealership made all kinds of noise about removing the seat/resetting airbags, etc.
so assuming I'm able to remove the pulldown armrest, will there be some sort of a metal stalk sticking out from the seat? will I need to then explore some cloth or something to cover that area?
I will try to do this over the weekend....
as for pics, they will come on the weekend too. (my photography chops aren't that great, fwiw....)
thanks much
