Here's some updated pics I posted elsewhere and just wanted to update the peeps who haven't seen them already...

I made a few changes to make it more streetable...
  • got rid of the CF and painted it flat black
  • replaced the DF210s with NF210s
  • added Rumion badges front and rear

I PM'd you to purchase a set of your door retention rods.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but do you have your hood supported by a shorter rod also?
yeah. the hood is propped up by Half of a curtain rod. LOL.. it drops the hood down by almost half. I'm working on a design for the hood. and thanks for the order. I will ship them out tomorrow!!! did you see my post on Kanchi's "Show for a cause" thread"?
I will be donating $1 from EVERY set of rods sold to that charity until the day of the show- 7/11/09

that all depends on your interpretation of fast...... if modding a slow car was so fun we'd see all the pro's tuning xB's or buicks for fun..... lets not kid ourselves man..... chances are people bought an xB because thats the best car they could afford at the time w/ some room to mod..... they wanted to mod the car and some are more into show and some more into go..... thats it..... I understand you're really into tuning your car and improving its heart and soul but in the end it'll still be slower than the majority of the cars on the road and with all the resources you think you're inventing... its really just a recycled set of modifications done a thousand other times on various other platforms. It's not fun if you're using the same formula as everyone else.

and if you think modding any of these other cars like Mustangs, Vipers, Supra's, or RX7's to be fast takes any skill then I'd hate to see what you're coming out with. Taking a 300hp car and turning it into a +1000hp street car is not something I would take lightly.

If you're into GO then the whole point is and has always been to go fast..... faster and fastest..... because that is who we are.... we want to win we want to be the fastest we can be..... case in point? you talking about how you've beaten cars like the Evo..... its normal..... we're all like that. But lets not kid ourselves.... You really walked into a dealership one day and decided you wanted to get an xB because you wanted to make a slow car go fast???

No offense, I respect you very much and your VIP styling, but...

You have to be the most NEGATIVE person. I go back on a lot of posts from you and they all seethe with so much negativity. People do what they do. Leave it be.

actually i did buy this car to make it fast i have had a ten second car before it was a vw bug used to get laughed at all that time till some one opened there mouth and got smoked is a car that runs a 12.9 slower then most the people on the road? even at a mile high. show me many cars that can drive every day and still go that fast and be street able. being able to smoke a evo 10 on 3.6 pounds is awesome they run like what 17 stock i could have bought any car i wanted under 70,000 with my income but i chose the xb i could have bought a supra a evo hell even a zo6 vette but i chose the box break the mold dude and stop being so negative

I have to agree, I give mad props to Cory for what he's done on his xb2. Quick and stockish looking xb2 > show (fugly imo) and slow xb2

i may come off as negative but most will agree that I just keep it real.... sorry if that offends anyone..... anything negative sounding I've ever posted was really to nobodies benefit except every forum member on here.... simply put there's alot of misinformation out there, there were things in the past I wished I could of commented about but since I have no ties with anyone anymore, I just want this game to be played fair..... there's alot of people trying to say stuff because they have something to gain.... I say thats B*llsh*t!!!

I've questioned Cory simply because some of the things he's claimed in the past hasn't added up..... its easy to run low 13's w/ an EVO.... you can miss a gear and still run 14's.... beating an Evo from the dig at a drag strip in a fwd econo box is pretty difficult especially when you're running under 10lbs w/ a GT3076r... which should put you roughly under 300whp... now account awd vs fwd and I just dont see it. It'd take around 350 to beat the slowest of Evo's with the worst of drivers.... Evo's dont run 17's!!!

I've been a member here for quite a while and seen posts from back then to now.... peoples post history and choice of parts tells alot about them. That is all.

just keepin it real, if u guys want i just want post anything anymore and save everyone the headache...... i have no issues with that.....

the guy that drove the evo is a member on the forums he used to have rs2 tc turboed.
he ran a 14.1 stock at 87 mph
we are a mile hihg here take what you think and take a second away for lack of the good old o2
when i raced him i was on 5.8 pound spring i could get him in here to back it up but the facts are clear your negative i could say the sky is blue you would say its light blue its plain and simple im jsut spreading the word that with the work any car can be fast so why not be different i could buy a evo like every other dbag out there but whats the fun in that im a leader not a follower my car is clean looks the part no rice just amazing its a clean ride i could have put a nasty paint joob some cheap wheels and decked it out with little trinkets but why so it looks like it was a autozone special? i dont get it but end rant when the clutch goes back in my car expect to see sub 12 runs

"chances are people bought an xB because thats the best car they could afford "

I would disagree. I actually was close to buying a new chevy tahoe but just didnt really want to spend alot of money on gas which was at the time in so cal around $3.50 a gal.

I chose the xb just based on price and that it could pretty much give me some more room like a tahoe. which beats my 2000 camaro. and I had the money for a tahoe or something along those lines but was smart and bought something that would do pretty much the same job and saved me money

Like I said, bro, no offense. I have a wealth of adjustable suspension knowledge whether it be hydraulics or air. It's just what I do. Haven't done it on the xB... yet.
But I have a lot of respect for you because you have been around a while and you have a VIP platform car, which brings respect IMO regardless. :D
