Bluetooth

Thanks so much Roxor Boxor. That's exactly what I needed to see.. Just wanted to know where you hid your wires and that's perfect. How is the location of the mic? Does it pick up your voice well? Also this may be a dumb question but you mentioned that you went to the Scion site to get instructions for the SNS...What exactly is the SNS? I'm guessing Scion Navigation System? Also what is a D3? Thanks again.

D3 is the Pioneer Avic D3. Probably the most bang for your buck in-dash DVD/NAV unit out there right now. Good choice btw AgntPedro. As to the bluetooth module for it, do some reading over at avic411.com. There are quite a few people who are not happy with the BTB200 with the D3. Might be something to be concerned about. Might not. Just thought you might want to read them. Or...maybe not.
I seriously considered a D3, but in the end I could not justify it. I never use my GPS locally. Small town and not needed. I really only use it on long trips and I like to drop it in my computer case for use in rental cars on business trips.
As to my Parrot Linx, the mic location seems to be good. I never have any complaints that I cannot be heard. I tested it by calling my voicemail at work and it sounded just like calling on my cell phone without the Parrot.
The only two times I have had a problem of any kind while using the Parrot was a cell related drop out (big surprise ) and one time when I was talking to my wife while on the phone as I drove onto one of Wisconsin's finest highways with the speedbumps...I mean concrete joints every 30-40 feet. Each "hit" was pretty loud and the noise was driving her crazy. I'm pretty sure it would not have mattered where I had the mic on that road.
As to the SNS, yes it is the Scion Navigation System. The instructions for installation which are so thoughtfully posted on Sparks Toyota site in the upper right hand corner for any part where they're available. The SNS instructions are very handy for doing any kind of sound system related install. They have a lot of other install manuals that are useful for purposes other than intended. :D
Check the upper right corner of this page for the SNS.

There are several others on their site.
Hope that helps.

Much appreciated Roxor Boxor. In my last car I had the Alpine 9856 head unit which is bluetooth compatible. I bought the bluetooth system for it and was very disappointed. Sound volume was terrible on both ends of the call. About the only thing it did well was mute the stereo. I wonder if this is the same kind of problem the D3 might have? Can anyone with a D3 comment on that please? I do wanna try the Tom Tom 910. That has blutooth, and after reading customer reviews, seems to be pretty good.
