The eclipse driver really must've sucked at driving. A 50hp advantage in a similar weight car. Just a sad day. Most GS-T's will run the 1/4 in low 15's, the 1/8th at 10 flat. I haven't seen the specs on this new xB but I would imagine something like high 15's for the 1/4 and 10.4-ish in the 1/8th.
Anyone taken a stock xB2 to the track yet? I'm planning on running mine against a stock tC and then a tC with intake/exhaust on the local 1/8th as soon as mine is broken in. I'll be filming it so people can get an idea of the differences.

i raced a tc its about even to 80 and when we raced downhill i gained on him hard we never went from a stop so yeah and you got to realize most gsxs have ben ridden hard and put away wet so its motor is probably down on power

was behind a kid last night in my box, he was in a cobalt ss. passed him cause he was going slow and i set my cruise and then i get by a parking area and next thing i know he goes flying by me, was laughing to myself cause i couldnt figure out what that just proved...... i was hopin a cop was coming the other way so i could laugh even harder..... is it just me or does every teenage kid in a cobalt think they are in a sports car.... lol farthest thing from it.... lol
Yea, Cobalt's make me mad. It was nice when I had my Stealth cause I would blow the doors of this one kid all the time. Seems like I saw him every morning on the way to work. I don't see the xB keeping pace though, it's not a supercharged SS but he has done stuff to it. And I think the motors in the non supercharged Cobalt's are good for 170hp anyways.
There is a road in my town where you are forced to merge about 1/5th of a mile after the intersection, this results in a lot of "impromptu" races. Since getting my xB2 I've managed to merge in front of a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country Limited(3.8 V6 w/ 200 hp), a late 90's early 2k's Ford Expedition(5.4L V8 300-ish hp), and an early 2k Pontiac Grand Am GT(3.4L V6 with 170hp)
I've also lost to a new Civic Si(2.0L I-4 w/ 197hp) at this light twice.(A friend, we intentionally went to this intersection for this purpose)
I know the things I "beat" up there are large and slow, but I was like 4 car lengths on all of them so merging in front of them was easy, there would even be room for another car or so between us.
If I get into any impromptu races with something most would consider fast and I actually win I'll post on here. But I don't see that light often and most of the time the other guy doesn't care. The other problem is even if I tie I have to slam on my brakes cause it's a merge lane and I run out of road.

Kinda like those people who street race in those boxy station wagons... You know, the ones with a Camry engine.
