Default Bumpy ride

I just got a 2011 Scion PW and overall i am quite pleased. Howeveri cant get used to the bumpy ride. I guess it's because i've never owned a car where i sat so up high, and sat up straight instead of leaning way back. In my wife's mini im practically lying on the road!
But i guess the extra altitude adds to the the rocking and ups and downs.
Someone suggested tires are a good place to start to smooth things out. I have stock tires and wheels. Maybe i could get a trade in on the tires and get something better.
Any suggestions and/or additions? THanks in advance.

yeah, trade in your scion for a lexus. thats the best way to go.
just messin around, the complaint i always had w my 1st and 2nd gen xbs is their super noisy. you hear a good amount road noise even w your windows rolled up. never noticed much about how bumpy it is but im used to slammed cars and now air suspension so it doesnt bother me much. good luck finding an inexpensive solution

Buy a set of 15" steels and get some high profile tires... Fix your problem quick

Do remember like drew said ^ trade in for a Lexus
its still an economy car the fix isn't cheap you'd either have to get the high profile tires or do some suspension work shocks/struts

Let some air out of your tires. Trust me it will make a world of difference.

Just know they wont last as long as they normally would.

Nothing is going to "fix" the bumpy ride. It has a torsion bar suspension in the rear which is not meant for comfort. Try new touring style tires and air bags if you want more comfort.

Throw some weight in the back. I've got 200lbs of battery for the 80lb subwoofer and 30~40lb box it sits in. Car rides reaaaal smooth.

Well i used to ride around in my saturn all the time with almost all of my band's equipment in the trunk. there is no trunk on this so if i did that now it wouldnt be there the next day.
i do take some very long drives. Going away for t-day so see how that goes. New tires wouldnt be the end of the world.
Hey what would be a good pressure on the tires. the road would be smoother and i woudd get better tires next time!
Thanks.

Tint the rear windows for more privacy. Its already hard to see in the hatch area because we dont have quarter glass windows.

I have the same issue with my '11. I really don't want to drop the $$ on a good coilover setup, but I feel like that would help. I may just go ahead and put some lowering springs on it. If its going to be bouncy might as well be lower.
