Custom guage pillar help

Custom guage pillar help
Hey everyone, I am looking to get guages put in my A pillar ( 5 to be exact) I live in pottsown PA, and wanted to know if anyone knew where to get this job done at, I had a guy in Phoenixville quote me $975!!!!! 
. I think thats a bit crazy, I would have thought only about $400 to $500 range. Please help\

$975 is a bit much, but I don't know if putting gauges in your pillar would be a great idea.
There's airbags in there and if you were to get in a wreck, they'd more than likely become projectiles and could do some damage.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong...
