Default dash applique and carbon fiber window trim: buy or don't buy

Currently I was not planning on buying either one but could easily be convinced.

The carbon fiber window trim looked nice but is it worth the extra 299 ?

What about the dash applique. I have seen it priced for somewhere around 150-200.
Have not seen any pictures of it yet. Has anybody bought it and what does it look like.
Does it look good ? The only comment from the dealer was that its silver not carbon fiber.

It's all about what you like man. I'm still waiting on my xB (arrives the 29th), but I didn't get the dash applique or the window trim. I like the window trim, but I'm fine without.

As for the dash applique, I wouldn't personally consider it because carbon fibre looks badass! Check out this thread and pics. He said it was $160 shipped:

Good luck to you.

Carbon fiber is only cool when its real. When it's not real, it's like sticking a card in the spokes of your bike.

I totally agree, but if it looks real... I think this kit looks great (in the pics anyway). Not sure I would get it, but I'd considerit!

Thanks for all the info. I think I decided against both for now based on the feedback. Maybe in the future, I might add some of these extra items but for now, no on these two.

I bought the dash applique but not the carbon trim. I thought that there is something missing in my dash, and realized that the dash is too plain for me without the appliques. I like how it look after the installation. I'll post the pics later.

I agree and I have it on both wifes and mine and I think it finishes out the interior.

I paid 150.00 for each. A little pricey for plastic but it has held up well and still looks good.
