Under the rear cargo area...is there still a storage area/box back there? Next to where the spare is...

I ask because in the 06 xB there was a space and that's where I currently have an amp and a JL cleansweep.

Considering a new xB and wanted to know if I could still put that stuff back there like that...

 

There's a large foam piece above the spare w/ storage...

 

I have a 2008 Scion xB and it does have the divided storage compartment covering where the spare tire is. I was really happy when I saw that. It keeps things organized without having to buy a container and out of sight.

 

Trouble with the xb2 storage is that it's rather shallow, so putting something like tire chains in there is tricky without removing the dividers.

 

Hmmm thanks for the pic. Hopefully the amp/cleansweep will fit in those compartments...should...just wonder about the depth...

I test drove an 08 Xb, liked the smoother, quieter ride and the extra power. Two main complaints are the shallow storage area (couldn't put my canvas tool bag in because it is too shallow) and the shifter console rubbed against my leg the whole time. Other than that, I liked it. Waiting to see what the Release Series look like.

 

You can't just put them in the under the floor deeper storage bin on the right of the divided tray? The only thing in there is the lug wrench.

For whatever it is worth, I have my old military canvas tool bag and if it is not too over filled it fits on its side in the front section of the storage compartment on the right where the lug wrench is.

 

I have that same complaint.
