I thought it would be cool to start a thread about when you drive your xb2, don't you love when....

1) Someone at the car wash says "I love this persons car, much nicer than the xb1."
2) You get stopped by someone at the gas station asking how many mpg you get, and how much it cost you
3) When you're in college and all the dudes ask you "are you enjoying your new ride?"
4) When you open your trunk people are like "whoa you've got a sub!"


etc.... Lets hear your comments about what people say.

I know a thread like this has been done for the xb1 but lets hear it for the xb2

 

yeah I always get " This xB is so much nicer than the first one.... its not so boxy"

Had it since May and it still smells new =] In love.

 

Don't you love it when the cop pulls you over (couldn't see the temp tag) and asks 50 questions about the car before he lets you leave!

you tell your friends you just got a new Scion box car and you hear a little disappointment in their voices. Then you show them your xB2 and see how excited they get and realize it doesn't look like the old ones!!

Hahaha this one is so true. I actually told this to a guy I know who has a tricked out xb1. He was like the new ones suck. I show him the inside and he's like " I want this fabric's interior"!


So come on lets here some more stories!!!!!!!!

LOL!! I'm guilty---so do I. Love how this car is such a head turner :]

 

i always cant help but stare when i see them at work....they just..."stand out". If i were to ever get one, i would get the hypnotic teal just to really stand out. They're really nice. Just much to expensive for me....i can't afford that extra $3000....

 

I get that all the time.

 

when a Gen1 owner comes up to you and asks about mileage, space, and briefly touches upon them not liking it being less square but never brings up the "i dont consider it an xB" arguement (but you can tell they want to).
must be just an internet thing

 

I love it when a 1st gen owner says they didn't like the 2nd gen until they drove it.

 

I just love it.


I get a lot of "thank god it's not like the old one"

I do like that... if i try... i can get 32mpg out of it.

I have the Hypnotic Teal and even people at the dealership say "nice color"

Don't you love it when you tell people that you bought a Scion xB, and just as they're faces turn to horror and disgust you go "not the old, extra boxy one!" and they're expression instead changes to nods of understanding and approval. Heh.

It's amusing to me that the media outlets that say Scion went mainstream with this are somewhat right (because a lot more people seem to like this car when they see it), but at the same time, it still manages to grab people's attention. I love it.

 

I get a lot of chicks staring at me..... but then I realize its probably my car
O BTW I have the hypnotic teal mica color.

 

The day after I got it, I went out to the River City Shopping center. It was the first one in the state so no one had really seen it, got a lot of pointing.
