Even they admit it's a pointless comparison between a city car and a Camry wagon.

Even after a redesign, the Cube may not fall into the same class as the new xB. However, if they make it slightly larger, keep all of the cool technology, offer a moonroof, and give it the Versa's 127hp engine, I can see the US version Cube putting the xD and Honda Fit to shame.

That was a completely pointless comparison, as that's not the car Nissan will be selling here... but cool to get some nice pix of the JDM Cube. I personally love it.

Cool back in 2004 I tried to import one over to the States and after all the paper work and BS I gave up and got a Gen1 xB.
I'm glad to finally see the Cube come to the States.

Remember, Nissan plans to bring a re-designed Cube to the states... Let's just pray they don't "americanize" it too much.

They should pick up right where the gen1 xB left off. If they go after the Element (like the new xB did) they'll ruin it.

The current Versa will probably get bigger, allowing the Cube to take on the Yaris and Fit. In that crowd, a stylish looking Cube could dominate amongst younger buyers.

They should have compared the Cube with the xB1. The only real competitor with the xB2 is the Honda Element. But overall I'm sure the Cube will sell just like the xB1 since they stopped making it.

But I still love my xB2

I think the new Cube will be for the xB1 owners looking to trade. I don't see it being a huge hit here, and with ~22MPG as tested, I'll keep my xB2, thanks very much.

O WoW! I didn't notice how bad the Cubes mpg is! Wow makes getting the xB2 actually worthwhile!

The MPG is that bad because they are driving it at US Highway speeds when it was made for Japan's 50 mph highways, they admitted to almost constantly flooring it.
I'm sure it get much better mpg in its Japanese home, Japan also uses 100 octane, I think.

"...it takes about a...month to get to that speed..."

I realize it'll be different, but it's still a pretty funny comment.

I like the back end style with the c pillar on one side and the side opening door. The front looks terrible.

Kinda looks bizarre from the back with the window wrapped around like it is. I thought something was wrong with the video.

Then I knoticed, toward the end of the clip, the offset was for the side opening rear door. Looks weird to me. That might be modified (when here) too.

I cant remember exactly but I think I rode in one in Japan, and while functional like the xB, it was a little tight. Much less storage room.
