Ya nameless_ak, the gap needs to be there because a wheelchair and the ridercan weigh as much as 800 to 1000 lbs. if motorized, add some passengers and you need some serious springs, front and rear. so this one must be ready to haul some weight.

A single portable chair wouldn't weigh too much so that's my guess.

I understood why it was like that, i was just saying it look hilarious, however they could eliminate that gap by getting air bags, or air ride suspension, whatever you want to call it.
