Hey guys, loved the xb.. But found a deal I couldn't resist..



2010 mazdaspeed3!

Already got a few mods; intake/turbo inlet pipe, cat delete race pipe, muffler delete, rear motor mount, short shifter with solid bushings, lowering springs and some better struts..

I average better mpg then my box, and have over 100hp more

And probably roughly the same amount of cargo room, looks like a winning combo to me!

 

Little smaller, but not noticeable when I step on the gas ;)

Awesome! Glad to see you got into a mazda. Those seem to be the go to cars alot of xb guys head for when they don't want to boost the toaster.

Amazing cars, I'd love to take one for a test drive as well!

Congrats. I longtimeago considered a Mazdaspeed3 myself because of the turbo but the limited availability precluded a pricing deal. And I wish they'd downplay that smiley louvered grill.

Dang, this thread is again bolstering the toaster turbo notion that my wife's gonna kill me for...

I have always been impressed with the Mazda3 series but I like the past gen a little better because of the looks and the lack of smiling grill. A car as badass as the MazdaSpeed should have a menacing look to it (like the Fury in Christine)

I would love to see a Mazda3 with rear wheel drive and a rotary engine

Congrats!!!! Im looking into a 2012 mazdaspeed in white. That Car def gets much better gas than an 08-up auto xB. I drive highway and 60 max and the gas jut flys away!!

 

If your goal comes down to gas mileage, how about a Prius?

 

Just got my tune, leaned out sixth gear, running 33mpg freeway... And more powa 1-5th

To hell with "tame and preppy", what matters is what works for you. If Prius works, then for God's sake go for it. Your first responsibility is to yourself, then your spouse (or perhaps the reverse !). In any case, the community is not what it's about, it's you and those you care about that matter!
