Looks like you got the right stuff. You put the tape on the short flat side and stick it under the stock lip so the long side faces down. Hope that helps

 

ok i went to home depot tonight and im pretty sure i dont know what i was looking for haha. i found hard garage door weather stripping that goes on the side of the house and then i found really flimsy rubber that was like 3" wide that goes on the bottom of garage doors. what the ___ am i looking for when i go to home depot, what section is it in.

 

You want to find the garage door seal. It goes on the bottom of the door.

 

It is in the Door Hardware section. I did not believe it at first but it's the flimsy rubber stuff. It should say Garage Door Sealer or something....and its 9 ft. long by 2 and 1/4inch wide. It is the black sealer that goes along the bottom of the garage door. Trust me I made two trips to Home Depot as well lol.....I have my lip waiting right now, cant wait to throw it on tomorrow!

Got done my lip a little bit ago. Here are some crappy cell phone pics but you get the idea. Also, a while ago I added headlight LEDs in the vent area which I never took pics of. Overall pretty satisfied for a 15 dollar investment. You can see the double sided tape in some areas, but I am going to sharpie it in a few days when I know the lip isn't going to fall off.
