3 weeks ago my gf and I purchased a nice 2010 xD with 67,000 miles on it! It had a few upgrades and was a nice car! It looked like this....





A week later a 17 yr old kid stole his mom van and went out with some girl (who was reported as a runaway) and went out joyriding I guess. Well my girlfriend was on her way to work at 4am when the guy came out of nowhere and hit her head-on when she was just starting out at a light. He either ran the red light or didn't yield at the light. After he hit her he fled the scene! His van broke down about 3 miles down the road and left a trail of oil/antifreeze the whole way so the cops were able to catch him! It was definitely a scary moment when I got that call!! This is the result of the accident......
















Well after 2 weeks and going through the insurances, we finally got the witnesses statement (thank god) and they found them at fault and said they would pay for the xD. My gf came out really good because she had to transfer a bunch of money over from her previous cobalt to her xD so in the end that all got paid off and she was back to zero!

So we were able to get her a brand new 2012 army rock metallic xB with 11 miles on it!!











Her all happy with here xB!!



Everything worked out great in the end! With the xB we got a better apr and a lower payment actually, which is really nice!! Now she won't have to worry about a car for a while!! Makes me want a new car though! Thanks for reading my long story!! lol

That's a very similar way I upgraded to from 05 to 09 tC.

I love the army rock color, she wanted white which I like too but they didn't have any there so I convinced her to get this one. It's a unique color that nobody really has especially around here!!

I liked the xD a lot too but it was smaller but did get better gas mileage. That is the only thing that I don't like about the xB so far but it definitely isn't a big complaint.

As far as the d-bag that hit her, we will see what happens to him. We haven't received anything about the court date yet. Im just happy we were able to get her a brand new car!!
