Great reference for replacement parts and part numbers
I stumbled across this link today, and I have to say it's pretty awesome! It's a reference guide for genuine Toyota remanufactured parts.

I've been researching what the largest factory 2AZFE alternator was; I'd heard there was a 150 amp one on the RAV4, but never could find one. Turns out it was only on the V6.
Turns out the 2000-2007 Matrix had a factory 130-amp alternator. Doubt it would be worth replacing the alternator if yours is still good, but wouldn't hurt to grab the 130-amp one when it's time to replace the stock 100-amp one.

Okay, this is interesting. I checked a local parts store's site to see how much the alternator is. The 2.4 wasn't available in the Matrix until 2009, so the production dates don't add up. I was getting excited for a second. Oh well.
