Default Grillcraft MX Series on SW

does anyone else have the Grillcraft MX Series grille on a SW or maybe silver or anyother light colored xbs? because i installed mine, and you could completley see through the whole grille. Theres a lot of white showing through the black grille.

I bought it from fastscions.com, where they have this picture,

As you can see, you cant see anything through this grille. They must have painted it black behind it, so u cant see through it.

Yeah, with anything but a BSP you need to paint the area behind the grill to get the black look. Even with a BSP car there are a few pieces that need to blacked out to acheive a completely clean look.

i mean shouldnt they say that in the description? i feel like the picture is false advertising. And to mount it, you have to cut your stock grille.

i really hate this grill, and DO NOT reccomend getting it. I'm probaly just going to buy a stock one now as a replacement.

The grill is the grill, the color of the components behind it is a completely separate issue. There's no false advertising there!

Nothing stopping you from masking off the radiator and whatever behind the grill and painting select areas black. It's just another mod, sometimes they end up stacking, nothing to get upset about!

When I got my brand new RS6 (the RED one) I hated the red behind the grill. So I took some stuff off and started painting the red areas black. Now it looks great. I think it took all of about 15 to 20 minutes to get it done. No big deal. Just cover everything with news paper and spray away.

i got that exact grille for my SW and installed it about a week ago and i think it looks much better. painting the white bar behind it isnt too hard, but iv also seen some where the stock grille is mounted behind it. i havent tried that, but it looks pretty good
