Hi, Another New Member
Hi guys.
My name is Mike. I've had my xB for about two weeks now. It's a Blackberry Crush 5speed. Only option was floor mats. I've been looking on here probably for about a month now. Just now signed up though.
No pics of the car right now. So far I've just peeled the black tape from the A-pilars, debadged the rear, and had the front windows tinted with 35%. I'm rebuilding a '59 Beetle plus I want to wait and see what comes out for the new xB before I start the modding. So I won't be doing a lot to it anytime soon.
I've been into VW's since I started driving. Last car was a 2001 1.8T New Beetle. Spent a lot modding that. It was a fun car and quick, but it was getting up there mileage wise and I needed something with more room. Here's a couple pics.
Looking forward to the Scion community.

Funny there are so many prior VW owners. These were/are mine (sorry for the crappy scanned photos).
The 75 Super Beetle 'vert I still own, and have had for over 18 years. The 68 hardtop was featured in VW Trends magazine - I sold it quite a few years ago.

Mine was a sleeper as well, to most eyes. Lightweight rims and lowered cup kit, other than that it looked pretty plain. Until it got angry... I love APR and Chris Green ;)
My reliability was excellent, even with how hard I drove it.

Yeah I was lucky too with mine. In the 5 years I had it I never had any issues. Now the one before that was a nightmare.
Even though mine didn't look stock, it was a sleeper just because it was a Beetle. Surprised so many people. It was to the point that I couldn't do anything else performance wise unless I went big turbo on it. I had 20th AE GTI Recaros in it, really miss those.
